Allison & Mathias’s Wedding at Turtles 1890 Social Centre Shakopee

Allison and Mathias’s wedding included a outdoor ceremony at Huber Park, and an elegant, fun reception at Turtles 1890 Social Centre in Shakopee.

The day started with the couple and wedding party getting ready at a beautiful Air BnB rental on Prior Lake.  Allison upstairs, Mathias downstairs.  They were determined not to see each other until the ceremony.  Yes, it’s possible to do this, and still have spectacular pictures of your wedding preparations!

A Huber Park Outdoor Ceremony

At the ceremony the unseasonably cool May weather was a welcome change from the usual humid and hot summer wedding days we have in Minnesota.   The clouds made for perfect soft light, and we were able to work around the wind during group portraits.  The ceremony started with a beautiful moment when Mathias saw Allison walking down the aisle, escorted by her children.  Allison’s father officiated and everyone celebrated at the end.

A Turtles 1890 Social Centre Reception

After the ceremony and group pictures were finished we headed to Turtles 1890 social Centre for a reception celebration.  The couple made their entrance, and admired their cake.  At this point I’ll mention that all the happiness and smiles you see in these reception photos is thanks to a very organized Wedding Coordinator Amanda of AC Weddings who helped the day flow smoothly.  You can’t tell in these photos that the ceremony started a little late.  Amanda kept everyone on track.  Having a good day of wedding coordinator makes it so easy to enjoy your reception.  It helps your wedding party and your other vendors concentrate on their duties.  You get to look fabulous and enjoy your happy moments like Allison and Mathias.

The night ended with the couple sneaking out to take a breather and pictures next to the venue’s beautiful brick and glass exterior.  Then there was more dancing, and more celebrating.  Everyone had an incredible, memorable time.

The couple shares their wedding date with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, so it was only fitting to name them Duke and Duchess of Shakopee!

Weddings are teamwork.  Thank you to all of the people who helped make this wedding amazing, including:
