Photography at a St. Cloud Country Club Wedding
It was a beautiful summer day in August for this St. Cloud Country Club wedding. I was so excited to visit there again. I lived in the city for a while when I attended St. Cloud State. Visiting the area is a relaxing road trip that’s fun to take. I love going exploring in the nearby Quarry Park, and the feeling of being in a small town that the city gives.
One of the unique things about having a St. Cloud Country Club wedding is the opportunity to have the Mississippi River in the background. This was important to the couple for their first look, and later for their ceremony. Being on the bluff above the river makes it feel like there’s no one else in the world. The breeze blows quietly and you can hear the birds sing. Sometimes eagles will soar high above too. It’s an amazing experience to have on your wedding day.
The couple did a first look reading notes to each other. We took the golf carts out on the green to my favorite shady willow tree for portraits. The ceremony was lovely and the reception was a really great party. We even managed to sneak in time for cigars with the groomsmen and twilight pictures before I left. The whole day was full of experiences for the couple and their guests. I left feeling completely joyful and thankful that Elissa and Nate asked me to be a part of their wedding.
