Tonya & Ken’s Pre-Wedding Photos at sunset.
Tonya and Ken’s shoot is an excellent example of why pre-wedding photos are a good idea. We did this session two weeks before their wedding. It was sunny, not too cold, pretty much the perfect early fall day to walk around the lake and through the woods.
Fall in Minnesota can be unpredictable. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place the last Saturday in September, and the weather decided to turn a bit fierce. It was chilly, windy, not the best day to be outside. Of course, good wedding photos can happen in adverse conditions, and we went outside on the wedding day too. But- Tonya had her heart set on sunset pictures, and with this pre-wedding shoot I made sure she got them.
Pre-wedding photos are a really fun time
The pre-wedding shoot was was a good chance for us to get to know each other, and for me to get to know their photography preferences. We were able to experiment with posing and lighting, take our time, and not worry about a schedule. There were laughs and good conversation. The evening ended with drinks and a more talking about their personalities and the rest of their wedding plans.
